H1 AGENDA
Drop off student no later than 7:00 am at Purpose Church of Pomona (Pomona First Baptist) on Dec. 31, 2014 at parking lot outside of the Jr. High Room.
From there, we will take them to the Colorado Blvd. Rose parade route in Pasadena, CA.
During the day, we will write messages on hundreds of styrofoam cups. The messages will be thought out by the teens, and will be unique and creative to spread Gods love. Example: "No God, No Peace, Know God, Know Peace."
Through-out the day, we will have unique and successful faith and team building activities that only this environment can offer.
Immediately after midnight, we will share in communion.
Then we will serve hot cocoa to the cold people on the streets all night until morning, in the custom cups we’ve made. Thus giving the 1st day of the New Year to serving Christ. We will spend our whole night showing and sharing God’s message of love.
In the morning, we will throw the candy to the bored people in the stands and shout thing such as "God Bless!" "Jesus Loves You!", and of course "Happy New Year!." This is always a great success.
If that’s not enough, we will be giving part of our prime seats to a less fortunate group, usually elder people, before the parade begins.
You will pick your student up from Dominic Portesi’s house in Upland by 2:30 pm. Jan. 1, 2015. A map will be provided to you the morning of December 31st and a PDF can be found above.
